Bachelor of Digital Forensics

The Noroff Digital Forensics Degree will train, develop and equip digital investigators with the necessary skills to process numerous forms of digital evidence.

The forensics degree will challenge individuals to develop a scientific, rigorous approach to their work. This will enable them not only to solve issues posed as part of the course but also to address unforeseen problems once employed as a corporate or legal investigator. The degree is intended to cover every aspect of processing digital evidence from the initial evidence collection at the crime scene and to the final presentation in a court of law. They will learn to maintain a chain of evidence to ensure the admissibility of evidence.

This program will develop individuals with the capacity to examine and protect the constantly changing digital environment: There is an increasing complexity of intelligent devices containing both memory and processing power. Storage devices are increasing in size and complexity. RAID systems are now being sold for home use in Europe. The advent of Cloud Computing has enabled data to be stored on the Internet with the physical location of the data being unknown to the end user. A convergence of networks and services enables data to be accessed over these devices anywhere and at anytime for the purposes of communication, control, work and entertainment.

Noroff graduates from the Digital Forensics degree will be equipped to deal with the full range of security and investigative issues in this evolving environment, from risk assessment and protection, to the investigation of a security breach.
